Tablets Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 has hit the website of the Federal Communications Commission showing off the design of the upcoming Samsung tablet models. This means that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 series, which was launched summer of 2015 could soon be having a successor. The Tab 2 series was pushed out in two variants, the 8-inch model and the 9.7-inch one, implying that the Tab S3 series could also arrive in these two sizes.

Judging from the sketch of the 9.7-inch Tab S3, carrying the model number SM-T819 that have shown up on FCC's site, it appears that they sport the same design and form as their predecessors.Earlier rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablets could be crammed with Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor under their hoods. Their 8.0- and 9.7-inch displays could feature 1,536 x 2,048 pixels display.

The slates are also believed to arrive with 8-megapixel main snappers, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and 2-megapixel front-facing shooters for selfie and video chat. A report from Phone Arena speculates that the carrier is going to release the slate at some point down the road.

In terms of their battery sizes, it appears that details are still scarce at the moment. The Tab S2 devices arrived last year equipped with a 4,000 mAh and 5,870 mAh batteries. It is expected that Samsung is going to boost the battery power of the forthcoming Tab S3 slates. Moreover, we haven't heard yet on when the slates will be unveiled. It is believed, though, that Samsung is going to launch its new Android tablets sometime in July, since their predecessors were also introduced in the same month last year.

In February, two possible Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 models have been spotted on the website of India’s import-export tracker Zauba, suggesting that these two new tablets could already be in the works during the time. The purported tablets have the model numbers SM-T719, probably the 8.0-inch variant, and the SM-T813, which could be the 9.7-inch.
